Marmalade Plaza

Location: Salt Lake City
Overview: This formerly dirt lot has been transformed into a modern oasis for all to enjoy. This challenging project was full of meticulous details ranging from curved concrete seat benches, curved IPE wood decking, precast concrete cubes, water feature with floating steps and LED lighting, landscaping and custom broomed concrete finishes with sandblasted leaf patterns.
Wheeler Farm

Overview: Wood framed barn at Wheeler Farm used for weddings, corporate events etc. In order to match other existing structures on the farm, Engelman Spruce was locally harvested from the Uintah mountain range.
Hogle Zoo Asian Highlands

Client: Utah Hogle Zoo
Location: Salt Lake City
Overview: The Asian Highlands feline exhibit is a standout feature of the zoo. Work included animal habitat and caging installation, artificial rock, steambed creation, wood framed timber structures and shotcrete rock features.
Hogle Zoo Elephant Encounter

Client: Utah Hogle Zoo
Location: Salt Lake City
Overview: Work consisted of a shotcrete stream and swimming pool for elephants with a filtration building and associated equipment. Additional features include colored and textured concrete walkways, an interpretive log constructed with logs and thatched roofing, restrooms, viewing structures and extensive artificial rock work.

Overview: Ground-up construction on new retail shell building consisting of site utilities, site concrete, asphalt paving, glazing, masonry, roofing and mechanical.

Client: Hualapai Indian Tribe
Location: Hualapai Indian Reservation, AZ
Overview: 6,000 SF facility that includes game rooms, kitchen, computer lab, fitness center and group areas. Scope included stucco, masonry work, stained concrete and interior finishes.
monument valley visitor center

Client: Navajo Nation Parks and Recreation
Location: Monument Valley, AZ
Overview: Constructed with masonry and timber framing. Due to the remote site, ready mix was delivered and “dry batched” and water added on site, a generator was used throughout as no utilities existed on site. Additional challenge was communicating to field staff as there was no land line, no cell service or internet available.

Overview: Constructed on the banks of the Provo River in a designated wetlands area. Scope included construction of the visitor center structure and finishes, restrooms, pavilions, pathways and campsites.

Overview: Construction of 2 one-story buildings. The first buildings consists of new exhibits area, lobby, men’s and women’s restrooms, reception and sales area, two private offices, storage room and building support room. Second building consists of a classroom, workroom, two private offices, open office suite, research library and building support rooms.

Overview: CWC was selected as the best value provider to build the facility by the Bureau of Land Management. Scope included excavation, framing, site utilities, concrete paving, interior finishes, exterior cladding, mechanical and electrical, structural steel framing.

Location: Scottsdale, AZ
Overview: 41,898 SF center designed and constructed to reflect Scottsdale’s commitment to sustainability and innovation. As one of Arizona’s first LEED Gold Certified buildings, the center incorporates a rooftop solar plant, drought resistant landscaping, low water plumbing fixtures. Features include a dance hall, activity rooms, reception office, central thermal mass brick structure for energy efficiency.

Overview: Facilities include a gymnasium, weight room, health clinic, kitchen, fitness path, classrooms, rock climbing wall.

Client: State of Utah
Location: Heber, UT
Overview: Constructed for the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, this was built to serve as the Biathlon Competition Management Building. Consists of colored architectural concrete panels, structural steel sun screen louvers, metal clad panels. Structural framing was complex in that it utilized a combination of steel framing and heavy timber.
