park city china bridge parking structure stabilization

  • Client: Park City

    Location: Park City, UT

    Overview: Located just off historic Main St. in Park City, the China Bridge parking structure had a failing retaining wall that needed emergency repairs so the structure could be safely used. We partnered with Ralph L Wadsworth Construction to assist Park City in the stabilization of an existing, failing retaining wall on Marsac Avenue. Construction included soil nails to stabilize existing wall and pouring of a new concrete wall on the face of the existing wall.

loa fish hatchery demolition

  • Client: Utah DFCM

    Location: Salt Lake City, UT

    Overview: Scope of work was concrete structural repairs on the parking garage for the Heber Wells and Olene Walker building in downtown Salt Lake City. After 30 years of deterioration from salt and water, there was a considerable amount of concrete spalling and cracks forming between the two levels. We performed demo on all spalled concrete and patched in with special patching material, routed out cracks on the parking slab floor and ceiling below and filled with Sika to prevent further deterioration. CWC self performed demolition of the existing deteriorated parking ramp into the structure and re-poured.

park city pedestrian tunnel snowmelt repair

    Location: Park City, UT

    Overview: This project addressed a failed snowmelt system installed during the original construction and is essential to ensuring the tunnel’s long-term functionality and safety. The scope of work includes the removal of the existing snowmelt system and the installation of a new radiant heat system, which is encased in a fresh concrete surface. These improvements will provide a snow-free path during winter months and restore reliable year-round access between the high school campus and nearby neighborhoods.

    Overview: Construction of new concrete ramp and slab for waste transfer activities at Weber Waste Transfer Facility

pineview dam seismic upgrade

  • Client: US Bureau of Reclamation

    Location: Huntsville, UT

    Overview: This project involved the seismic bracing of an existing spillway structure in the Pineview Reservoir dam. Work also included the refurbishment of radial gates, replacement of side seal plates, installation of strut beams, and construction of a new hoist deck platform.

    Location: Duchesne County, UT

    Overview: This slope stabilization project of abutment of Upper Stillwater Dam was located on a 50 acre area.  The project included installation of double twist wire mesh, cable netting on rock face, drilling and grouting of 24’ rock bolts as well as installation of 600’ of gabion basket.

    Location: Salt Lake City, UT

    Overview: This project for Salt Lake City was to construct an additional steam wash bay to power wash their garbage truck fleets and other miscellaneous government fleet vehicles. To accomplish this CWC performed excavation, concrete footings and foundation, CMU brick structure with pre-cast concrete roof, and all utilities to power the new bay

Heber Wells Parking structure repairs

  • Client: Utah DFCM

    Location: Loa, UT

    Overview: Complete site demolition on the historic Loa Fish Hatchery. Included demolition of two existing houses and utilities, all concrete runways and pipelines in order to make way for the upcoming new fish hatchery to be built in it’s place.

    Overview: Construction of temporary tactical roof for training exercises for Salt Lake Fire Department. Self performed all scopes of work including framing, roofing and door installation.

columbus center seismic upgrade

  • Client: South Salt Lake City

    Location: Salt Lake City, UT

    Overview: This is a 20,000 SF interior demolition and seismic upgrade project. Work on the exterior consisted of installation of shotcrete walls, new roofing and new windows. Work on the interior spaces included a 10,000 SF library and 10,000 SF office space.

mt. ogden communication towers

  • Client: Ogden City Public Works

    Location: Ogden, UT

    Overview: The project included the construction and erection of three new communication towers, a support building, road access to the towers, and remote - radio controlled 3,000 gal propane storage tank.

    Construction took place over three building seasons due to the high altitude and heavy snow fall. CWC demobilized each fall, winterized the building site and returned each spring to resume work. A concrete building was constructed with the use of helicopters, pumps and heavy earth moving equipment. An access road was constructed to reach the peak of Mt Ogden, elevation 10,300 feet. Three communication towers were erected on the peak with a helicopter.

  • Client: Kayenta Unified School District

    Location: Kayenta, AZ

    Overview: Situated in one of the most scenic locations in the western states, this project included construction of a synthetic football field and jogging track. Over 30,000 cubic yards of structural import fill were required to stabilize soil conditions under the synthetic turf playing surface. A scoreboard was also constructed along with a new playfield illumination system for night time sporting events.

    Location: Tuscon, AZ

    Overview: This was a renovation of an existing bridge. Scope included concrete work, curb and gutter, steel sculpture erection, electrical, and custom ornamental art reflective of Hispanic heritage and culture.

    Overview: Construction of a concrete water feature at the entrance of the Salt Palace Convention Center.

    Location: West Jordan, UT

    Overview: Construction of new track and field venue including new stadium seating with integrated storage facility, ADA modifications to existing facilities, rubberized track surface, slotted trench drain, and landscaping improvements.

    Overview: Construction of over 60,000 square feet of cast-in-place retaining walls on road widening project through Sedona, AZ. Special project requirements included limited access and staging, radius wall forming systems, heightened environmental concerns, and maintaining two-way vehicular traffic at all times.

    Overview: Construction of new stadium bleachers and artificial turf. An AirDrain field was implemented under artificial turf to create a more stable playing surface and efficient draining.
